Andrew Grey Funeral Directors continues to support local organisations making a positive difference within the community through its Community Fund programme.
Recent funding awards have been made to two local groups focused on inclusion, wellbeing and reducing social isolation.
One of the organisations supported was Hetton Buddies, a community group created by local parents for children with special educational needs and disabilities, including children awaiting diagnosis. The group provides activities, support and a welcoming environment for both children and families within the local area.
Funding was also awarded to Hetton Independent Methodist Church Men’s Walking Football, a newly established initiative aimed at encouraging physical activity, social connection and improved wellbeing among men in the community.
Andrew Grey said: “We are proud to support organisations that are creating such positive opportunities within the local community. Both groups are making a real difference to people’s lives by bringing people together, reducing isolation and providing valuable support.”
The Community Fund forms part of Andrew Grey Funeral Directors’ ongoing commitment to supporting the communities it serves beyond the funeral profession itself.
Andrew and Gillian Grey recently presented funding awards to representatives from both organisations and thanked them for the important work they continue to carry out locally.
