Meet the Team
Andrew Grey
Business Principal
“I wanted to maintain a dignified Funeral Directors in Sunderland, serving the communities of Hetton Le Hole, Houghton Le Spring and Easington Lane. I’ve spent all my life here, and as a member of my local community I feel privileged to be able to help you in your time of need.” — Andrew Grey
Gillian Grey
Office Admin
Gillian has worked alongside Andrew within the business since 2011. The most rewarding part of her role is helping the bereaved families at their most difficult time. Outside of work Gillian enjoys watching cricket and football with the family.
Ben White
Senior Funeral Director
Ben has been with Andrew Grey Funeral Directors since 2018, and finds the most rewarding part of his job is helping and guiding the bereaved, hearing their stories and helping them to create a fitting tribute and celebration of their loved one. He is a father of 3 (and ‘Dad’s taxi’ for them) and has been happily married for over 20 years. He also enjoys going to gigs and the theatre, having recently seen Elton John, Iron Maiden, Wicked, and The Lion King.
Ross Luke
Ross has worked in the funeral industry since 2007 and joined Andrew Grey Funeral Directors in 2024. He finds great satisfaction in helping families, especially taking care of their loved ones, assisting at their time of need and helping to oversee our Jaguar fleet.
Outside of work, he is a big car fan and a Formula 1 fanatic.
Rhonda Richardson
Senior Funeral Service Operative
Rhonda joined Andrew Grey Funeral Directors in 2023, and has been working in the industry since 2020. It gives her great job satisfaction to bring a family comfort during a difficult time in their lives, and it is important to her to care for people’s loved ones in the way she would want her own family to be cared for. She will soon start her embalming training to further support our families.
