Donations Policy

Online Donations

We work with a charity partner, Much Loved, who provide an online donations platform to enable anyone to make a donation, online, to your chosen charity (or charities). This is the easiest and safest method of handling charitable donations.

Donations Box on the day of the Funeral

If you wish to have a donations box available at the funeral service for mourners to make donations of cash or cheques, we will supply a sealed donations box to you for this purpose. 

The donations box will be given to you prior to the funeral, and we kindly inform you that it is your responsibility to safeguard the donations box at the funeral service, and for sending any monies collected to their chosen charity(s). 

Funeral Partners cannot accept any liability for handling the donations box on the day of the funeral, nor for any donations received in the donations box. 

Donations received at our Funeral Home

We will accept at our funeral home, by post or in person, cheques made payable to your chosen charity (or charities) only. 

Please Note: We cannot accept cash donations or cheques made payable to us. 

Should we receive any donation cheques in the name of a charity, these will be kept safely for approximately 4 weeks after the funeral. We will then post these cheques on your behalf to the applicable charity (or charities). 

We will also send a letter to you to inform you of the total amount of cheques we have received and sent to the charity (or charities).
